Six organizations are receiving awards for energy efficiency retrofits, LED lighting, solar power upgrades, weather sealing, and more.

WeWould Solar has transfered $600,000 of investment tax credits to Creditable Capital via a 1.2 MW solar project outside Gainesville, FL.

These new Clean Electricity credits provide incentives for the first time to any clean energy facility that achieves net zero greenhouse gas emissions. The credits also provide the ability for new zero greenhouse gas emissions technologies to develop over time, and are intended to provide long-term clarity and certainty to investors and developers of clean energy projects.

Project focuses include electric vehicle components and chargers, solar components, clean steel, critical materials processing and recycling, and other clean energy products.

The money could fund tens of thousands of eligible projects ranging from residential heat pumps and other energy-efficient home improvements to larger-scale projects such as electric vehicle charging stations and community cooling centers, according to senior officials in President Joe Biden’s administration.
